About

I am Aneesha Janbandhu, a junior at Leigh High School in San Jose, CA. I am the Founder and President of Sunshine and Hope Foundation. The mission of my organization is to help underprivileged and special needs kids by providing them with essential things they need to live a happy life or even just "smile".

Science is my favorite subject and knowing how crucial opportunities for exploration are to igniting curiosity for science is, I founded my Science Academy initiative to help raise elementary and middle school kids' interest in science via hands on experiments at local San Jose libraries.  Currently we are hosting sessions at Bascom, Willow Glen and Educational Park Libraries.

Through my fundraising initiatives, I raise funds for my cause by working various jobs whenever I get a chance and use those funds to donate much needed items to other organizations like Animal Assisted Happiness, for which I am a youth ambassador. I also donate items to schools that are dedicated to serving youth with special needs.
